Hi everyone! We have some very exciting news! We have a new team member starting this month! Kris Snyder is an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist and works with couples, families, individuals, adults and children. He is trained in brainspotting as a way to help his clients process about trauma as well! He is currently accepting new clients in-person and online! We have been in practice now for 6 years! We are thankful for our practice today and grateful for the work we do to help our awesome clients gain healing and peace. We are very excited to announce that Jen Gregory is joining our team! Jen is a student intern nearing completion of her Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. She is specializing in Crisis Response Trauma, which has given her a deeper understanding of those who are suffering from stress, grief, PTSD, and traumatic situations. Jen is also an ordained Pastor. In her role, Jen can help individuals who wish to speak with someone about spiritual or emotional issues, or who want to receive spiritual care, guidance, prayer and equipping. She can help clients work through concerns or issues in life, whether they involve spiritual concerns or not. Jen provides a calming voice and presence while still being inspiring and motivating. We are growing! Center for Healing and Peace, LLC is a faith-based, privately-owned outpatient counseling practice that offers professional counseling to individuals, couples, and families who are seeking mental health and addiction treatment with a Christian perspective. We are currently recruiting 2 independently-licensed therapists to join our team! The contract positions will start as part-time with a potential to become full-time if desired by the therapist, with a minimum of 15 in-person client sessions per week.

* Independently-Licensed Clinician (Child/Teens)
Contract Position Requirements:

-Master’s degree in counseling field
-Independent license in counseling field (LPCC, LISW, IMFT or the like)
-3 years outpatient therapy experience working with young children, teens, and their families regarding depression, anxiety, ADHD, self esteem issues, trauma, family relationships/dynamics, school difficulties, etc.
-Available for 15+ client sessions per week (60 minute sessions)
-EMDR training preferred
-Play Therapy training preferred
-Family Systems experience preferred
-Comfortable working in a Christian environment, and can offer a Christian perspective as per client request

* Independently-Licensed Clinician (Adult/Couples/Family)

We are happy to announce that we are back to the office and offering face-to-face sessions! We are still offering telehealth (video sessions) for those that prefer them and will continue to do so. We follow the precautions for Covid-19 with distancing in the office and sanitizing measures. We are accepting new clients at this time as well!

Hello everyone! There is absolutely no doubt that 2020 was a difficult year for so many of us. There were many who suffered significant loss, felt lonely, had a job loss or big change at work, were fighting the virus or caring for someone who was, and may have had increased symptoms of depression or anxiety because of the various events that occurred. For many, there were blessings sprinkled throughout the year as well, as we cooked at home more, spent more quality time with our immediate family members, or had personal goals met. Whether 2020 was filled with blessings or difficulties, or a mixture of both, we are hoping you are well. 2021 is a new year and we can set new goals, work towards healing, and taking care of our mental and emotional health.
