As we commemorate Juneteenth, let's also reflect on the ongoing struggle for racial equity and justice. Systemic racism still affects many aspects of our society, including transportation. Traffic laws related to walking and biking can disproportionately target Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities, leading to higher risks of conflict with law enforcement.

Recognizing the urgent need for change, a new advocacy guide is available for download. This comprehensive resource offers strategies to repeal harmful traffic laws and is designed for advocates and organizations aiming to address racially enforced traffic laws.

The guide helps tailor approaches to improve public safety in specific communities, emphasizing the importance of customizing strategies to address local challenges and promote equitable transportation solutions.

By advocating for the repeal of racially enforced traffic laws, we can help create safer, more just communities for everyone.
