Strong Black Woman Syndrome
Strength has long been praised in women—especially Black women.
But somewhere along the way, strength became synonymous with:
• carrying everything alone
• minimizing our needs
• enduring without support
True strength isn’t just resilience.
It’s discernment.
It’s knowing when to rest.
It’s allowing yourself to be supported.
You are not less capable because you choose softness.
You are not failing because you ask for help.
This month, I’m redefining strength as alignment, not endurance.
