From 1999 to July 2024, Dr. Mohan served as President of General Medical Consultants, guiding our practice's growth into a leading team of six hospitalists and three nurse practitioners. His visionary leadership has been instrumental in delivering exemplary perioperative care to our community.

Beyond GenMed, Dr. Mohan's extensive career includes significant roles such as Medical Director of Patient Assessment and Transition at multiple hospitals and Chief of Medicine at Mount Carmel New Albany. His dedication to medical excellence, patient satisfaction, and leadership truly stands out. 🩺

Blood Pressure Fluctuations: Cold weather can cause blood vessels to constrict, potentially leading to increased blood pressure. This is especially important for patients with existing hypertension.

Respiratory Challenges: Chilly, dry air can irritate airways and worsen conditions like asthma or COPD, which need to be stable before surgery.

Increased Risk of Infection: Winter often brings a higher prevalence of colds and flu, which can delay or complicate surgical plans.
