What are you regularly thinking about? 🤔

"What is the hardest task in the world? To think." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an act, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson (attributed)

"Thinking is difficult that's why most people judge." ~Carl Gustav Jung

"Your thoughts determine the quality of your mind. Your soul takes on the color of your thoughts." ~Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

"As a single footstep will not create a pathway on the earth, so a single thought will not create a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path we must think over and over again the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives." ~Henry David Thoreau

"Man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks he becomes." ~Mahatma Gandhi

"Even the smallest things may be taken as evidence of character." ~Seneca as quoted by Arthur Schopenhauer in On Human Nature: Essays in Ethics and Politics

Every decision you make has consequences.

"Consequences." ~John Wick

"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward." ~Amelia Earhart

"Our whole lives are startlingly moral. There's never an instant's truce between virtue and vice. Goodness is the only investment that never fails." ~Henry David Thoreau, Walden

"When we are unhurried and wise, we perceive that only great and worthy things have any permanent and absolute existence, that petty fears and petty pleasures are but the shadow of reality. This is always exhilarating and sublime." ~Henry David Thoreau, Walden

This video is dedicated to the Trump supporting useful idiots and unthinking imbeciles who support WWIII, war crimes, and the death of innocent human beings.

"Even the smallest things may be taken as evidence of character." ~Seneca as quoted by Arthur Schopenhauer, On Human Nature: Essays in Ethics and Politics

"The man who has no conscience in small things will be a scoundrel in big things." ~Arthur Schopenhauer, On Human Nature: Essays in Ethics and Politics

"The only good is knowledge; the only evil is amathia (ignorance)." ~Socrates

"Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth." ~John F Kennedy

"Whoso would be a man, must be a nonconformist." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson, Essay: Self-Reliance

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." ~George Santayana

Those who follow Donald Trump blindly are clearly uneducated unthinking imbeciles who suffer from Dunning-Kruger Effect amathia and arrogance, and I make my case in this video. Share this with your unthinking Trump supporting blind conformist friend or family member. Let them know they are acting as blind conformists, useful idiots, and imbeciles who are clearly ignorant and haven't learned from history. These useful idiots are the most evil problem with the world today; due to their amathia.

"We are a race of tit-men and soar but little higher in our intellectual flights than the columns of the daily paper." ~Henry David Thoreau

"One piece of good sense would be more memorable than a monument as high as the moon." ~Henry David Thoreau

It is often said that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." I say that the greatest and most harmful and evil disease known to mankind is amathia. What, then, is the "ounce of prevention" for amathia?

Well, Philo-Sophia, or Philosophy, literally means, "Love of Wisdom". Philosophy is the "ounce of prevention" for amathia, and all the world's greatest thinkers knew this. Socrates, Epicurus, Plato, Aristotle, Confucius, Lao-Tzu, Buddha, Epictetus, Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, Friedrich Nietzsche, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Henry David Thoreau all understood that the study of Philosophy was the "ounce of prevention" for amathia.

Are you doing your thing?

What is that thing you are most passionate about?

Are you settling for mediocrity or a boring lifeless existence?

When will you say, 'Enough is enough, already!'?

/ Albert Einstein /
"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly. "
"Albert Einstein, (born March 14, 1879, Ulm, Württemberg, Ger.—died April 18, 1955, Princeton, N.J., U.S.), German-born Swiss-U.S. scientist. Born to a Jewish family in Germany, he grew up in Munich, and in 1894 he moved to Aarau, Switz. He attended a technical school in Zürich (graduating in 1900) and during this period renounced his German citizenship; stateless for some years, he became a Swiss citizen in 1901. Einstein became a junior examiner (or clerk) at the Swiss patent office in 1902 and began producing original theoretical work that laid many of the foundations for 20th-century physics. He received his doctorate from the University of Zürich in 1905, the same year he won international fame with the publication of four articles: one on Brownian motion, which he explained in terms of molecular kinetic energy; one on the photoelectric effect, in which he demonstrated the particle nature of light; and two on his special theory of relativity, the second of which included his formulation of the equivalence of mass and energy (E = mc2). Einstein held several professorships before becoming director of Berlin’s Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Physics in 1913. In 1915 he published his general theory of relativity, which was confirmed experimentally during a solar eclipse in 1919 with observations of the deflection of light passing near the Sun. He received a Nobel Prize in 1921 for his work on the photoelectric effect, his work on relativity still being controversial. For decades he sought to discover the mathematical relationship between electromagnetism and gravitation, which he believed would..."

I've been training in parkour, endurance sport (5k, marathon, triathlon), and martial arts for many years. I take my mind, body, and spiritual training very serious.

"No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable." ~Socrates

"While lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it." ~Plato

"Man is the builder of a temple, called his body, to the god he worships, after a style purely his own, nor can he get off by hammering marble instead. We are all sculptors and painters, and our material is our own flesh and blood and bones. Any nobleness at once begins to refine a man's features, any meanness or sensuality to imbrute them." ~Henry David Thoreau

"While physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity." ~John F Kennedy

"Be the change you wish to see in the world." ~Mahatma Gandhi

Exactly 5 years ago today at the age of 47 years old, I ran a 4 mile run in 29:49 at an average overall pace of 7:27/mile. Today at the age of 52 years old, I ran a 4 mile run in 29:46 at an average overall pace of 7:26/mile. Today's run was done while dealing with a low back spasm and missing cartilage on the end of my left femur bone. I discovered a Facebook memory after my run today and was surprised to see I had run the exact same 4 mile distance in nearly the exact same time and pace, with today's run being 3 seconds faster. 😀
