Could not agree more. We have reached out to UNOS multiple times over the past few years concerning the critical need for changes to our allocation system, and we have yet to receive any sort of response.

The mechanics of the entire transplant system must be overhauled, a government review concluded, citing aged software, periodic system failures, mistakes in programming and over-reliance on manual input of data.

In this 'Meet our Team' video we feature Joanna Zaman who discusses the challenges she faced trying to balance her remote administrator role and the needs of her three young children. Listen to her talk about how Buckeye helped her achieve a healthy work life balance. She also enjoyed learning about the other side of transplantation and how she now directly helps people who are currently waiting for a life saving organ transplant.

Knowing the organ procurement side and transplant side makes us work more efficiently if we can foresee the needs of our surgeons before we make pertinent calls about cases. 📞

What a way to start off the first work week of 2022! It was an honor to meet up with our Congressman Bob Latta and discuss topics surrounding organ donation and transplantation in the United States; definitely a topic that cross all party lines!
