My mom gave me a sourdough starter way back in December and I didn’t feed it or care about it🤷‍♀️ like I should have. Nowadays, of course, I’m totally ready to make homemade bread like the rest of the world. I didn’t have any kind of bread baker (my mom sent me one as a gift- wasn’t that nice❤️) and then walked me through how to make bread. We facetimed several times through all of the steps (over the course of 18 hours) and the result was delicious and perfect and my family thought it was the “best bread they’ve ever had” lol😂... I promptly had to start the process of making another loaf because they were obsessed and sure enough that loaf was gone by the end of the day... I actually had to set rules and threaten severe punishment for anyone violating the 2-slice rule🤣. The whole process was actually super fun🙌🥖😊👍

I made this anti-viral garlic syrup with pieces of orange with the rind, raw garlic, ginger and honey. It’s from page. There’s a real science behind using these ingredients to help keep your body in tip top shape. I will say thank goodness Joel is also have a couple of bites every day so that our garlic breath just cancels out😂

We made fried rice for dinner with veggies that needed to be used up- carrots, broccoli, mushrooms and edamame. Charlie really wanted to contribute so he made shrimp all on his own! One upside of this quarantine is that he’s wanting to learn to cook more👏! Details of the recipe are in my stories✌️

I feel like you can pretty much throw anything into a bowl and have a meal... here, Charlie, wanted to learn how to make it himself🧡 and learned how to cook white rice, chop mushrooms and sauté them. Then he threw in some leftover veggies we had in the fridge- cooked ground turkey, butternut squash, roasted cauliflower, black beans, tomatoes (which he promptly removed because he didn’t think they worked with the other flavors🤷‍♀️). What’s your favorite throw-something-together kind of meal??

Pasta Putanesca... all pantry staples and delicious to boot- pasta, olives, oregano, canned tomatoes and I had some anchovy paste in my fridge but if you didn’t have that no biggie! I also added some shrimp (from frozen in fridge) for added protein. Pasta is which is my fave GF pasta. Easy peasy😘✌️
