Not prepping for spooky season 👻

These bottles of fake blood aren’t for costumes, they’re for teaching! In my Birth Emergencies class, we use them to demonstrate what blood loss can actually look like after birth.

Why? Because it often looks like more than it is. Visual learning helps families feel prepared and confident to recognize when things are normal. And when it's not, they know how their midwives manage a true hemorrhage.

✨ This isn’t about fear - it’s about education, confidence, and readiness. And, birth is messy, but that's okay!

We bought a king bed and it's been amazing for this co-sleeping momma. They start in their own space now but they eventually find their way to me and I'm okay with it. I function much better when I've rested well and this is what works for our family.

🌞 Summer Pause 🌞

I've been pretty quiet on here...

I took myself off-call, away from doula work to be fully present with the ones who hold my heart the tightest—my husband and our two sweet daughters.

Birth work is such a sacred part of my life, but right now, slow mornings, afternoons on the boat, and memory-making with my little family are calling my name.

Thank you to all the families who trust me with your most precious moments—I'll be back in the fall, refreshed and ready to support you with my whole heart.

Until then… it's barefoot days, backyard giggles, and all the summer magic motherhood has to offer.
