Yesterday OSHP Director of Legislative Affairs Division, Dan Arendt, PharmD, BCPS provided testimony at the Ohio Senate Health Committee hearing in support of bill SB230! This bill would allow Ohio pharmacists to provide protocol based testing and prescribe treatment for common conditions such as flu, Covid-19, strep throat, and RSV, the bill would also require insurance reimbursement for pharmacist provided clinical services. This bill represents a meaningful step toward improving timely, affordable care for Ohioans across all communities, including rural and underserved areas.
