I want to share a text message and pictures that I received from one of the Jr residents at Modern Pathways to Recovery! It is one greatest examples of the power within addiction recovery when individuals are given the proper guidance, treatment approaches, and support!
I also want to preface it with this: for those of you who were in support of the more than $2 billion cut to mental health and addiction recovery services proposed by the current Administration, this is the chance at life that that cut would have ripped away from thousands of people, including those suffering and their families and communities! Did the group of men in these pictures - all of whom have full-time jobs, but still rose VOLUNTARILY early Saturday morning to feed unhoused individuals and families facing food challenges - not deserve the opportunity? How could anyone in good conscience support that type of governance!
May God give Edmond and I (along with our team) the ability to continue doing this work in spite of!

Tonight, Modern Pathways was honored to recognize Volunteer Site Manager Wiley Frederick for his dedication to not only the program, but to the guys in it. The sense of brotherhood and camaraderie you bring to the table is absolutely without parallel! Congratulations, Wiley! We are grateful to have you as part of our team!

waits at the end of their own year with us at MPR. Thanks to our directors, Shane Sims and Edmond Patterson, for building such an amazing program and for believing in the men that fill these beds
