Spring Break 2026!!!
We went to Orlando and had pool time, Magical, Epic days, a Easter Egg Hunt through Disney resorts via monorail, and lots of core memories locked.
We are so grateful that Dylan has been doing great. Lots of good days and hardly any issues! Praise the Lord.
While we really enjoyed Epic Universe and the rides and vibe, we loved the Family Care Center and the ADULT sized changing tables and private rooms, and the Individual Access Card process was pretty seemless….there were some issues at Epic for Dylan.
Even though many rides online stated “wheelchair accessible-may remain in wheelchair” 🦼 , what Universal means by that definition is very different from Disney so BEWARE. They gave me a very hard time and would not let him ride mario cart because they wanted his chair at a 90 degree angle, and they would not allow us to use his neck supports or harness?!?! WTH.
VERY disappointing, especially with the cost involved at this park.
Another issue was that several of the handicap accessible rides were “not working”. Yoshis was one of them and D was very disappointed.
We did really like how they had family rooms where he could still go through the queue, and then there was a room off to the side where we could have someone hang back with D and then child swap.
That was nice—-but this park sucked overall for Dylan’s sake.
My other boys loved it and the favorites were the Harry Potter, the Dragon Show, and “Monsters Unchained”. Sullivan rode all the big coasters and the “yellow one” was his favorite. See pic below. 😳💀
We didn’t let any of this spoil our time and we really had a great day at Epic. Not crowded and lots of places to get D out of his chair. The weather was not too hot and so it made it easier for D and all of us. Hard to find easy places for food. Where are the damn Mickey bars, pretzels and popcorn stands. And no churros? Come on man.
But nobody does it like Disney.
We got “Pixie Dusted” on our very first ride. We were waiting in line just like everyone else, no fast pass or DAS and a cast member said…”would you like to skip the line and ride now?”
Um YES. YES we would!!!!
And it was one of Dylan’s favorites, Pirates 🏴☠️ of the Caribbean!!!
We feel very blessed and grateful for a great Spring Break.
Please send prayers for continued good health and safe travels as we make our way back today. 🙏📿🛐
