Always presume competence.

Just because a child doesn’t speak doesn’t mean they aren’t thinking.
Just because a child uses AAC doesn’t mean they lack intelligence.
And just because motor planning is hard doesn’t mean understanding isn’t there.

I want to share how unbelievably thankful I am for our amazing team at The ProAACtive SLP.

Every day, I get to work alongside people who bring heart, humor, creativity, and so much passion to our kids and families. We collaborate, we problem-solve, we cheer each other on—and we genuinely have fun doing it.

Inside the clinic and outside of it, this team makes the work feel incredibly meaningful. I’m beyond BLESSED to have Suzanne Lin and Hitomi Torng on our team. They make our clinic such a warm, collaborative, and fun place to be—inside and outside of sessions!

The ProAACtive SLP is partnering with Black Diamond Ballet for the Dec 6th performance - a "SENSORY FRIENDLY" performance of the NUTCRACKER!
Meet us there to get your customized AAC board for the performance and other take home goodies!!!

Dec 6th 11am. We will be there providing AAC communication supports that are customized for the ballet so your child will have language to learn and use during and after the show. You can take the AAC boards home with you!
