Social Skills Group Therapy for Children on the Spectrum + Parent Information Meeting (Running Simultaneously)

What:
A supportive, engaging 6-week group therapy program helping children on the autism spectrum build confidence and essential social skills — while parents attend their own information & support meeting at the same time.

Who:
Children ages 6–10 on the autism spectrum or those who want to strengthen social skills

Program Details:
🗓 Duration: 6 weeks
🔁 Frequency: 1 session per week
⏱ Time: 1.5 hours per session
📅 Start Date: January 8th, 2026
📍 Day/Time: Thursdays | 6:00pm – 7:30pm
📌 Location: The Stern Center – 150 West Crawford Ave., Connellsville, PA 15425

What Children Will Learn:

✅ Taking turns
✅ Reading social cues
✅ Emotional regulation
✅ Starting & maintaining conversations
✅ Building friendships

What Parents Will Gain:

✅ Weekly topics on supporting social growth

👻Allens Sensory Friendly Night will return for its 4th year, Friday September 19th!!👻🤡
This is a night for the community of those on the spectrum to enjoy a haunted house and hayride together. We have dialed back the intensity of the experience by eliminating strobe lights, loud music, jump scares, and screams.
Sensory Friendly Night is an opportunity for families to enjoy a haunted house together who might not otherwise get to. We want to ensure that nobody is left out and everyone can have a fun night of thrills. And, it's not just the haunted house and hayride. We have campfires and concession stands ready, and you can even bring your own snacks to enjoy.
So mark your calendars, tell our friends and join us for a fun-filled night that's inclusive for everyone. We can't wait to see you there!
