“Leadership is about more than metrics. It’s about safety, dignity, and trust. Without those, even the best strategies collapse. This series will give you the compass to lead differently.

Excerpt from the upcoming release: Leading Through the Fire: Trauma-Informed Leadership for a New Era by Krista Fee
"Why Me?
Why am I the right person to write this book? because I’ve lived it, and still do each day.
I’ve walked through fire, carried scars the world cannot see, and stood in places where silence was easier, but truth was demanded. I know the cost of picking up a blood-stained microphone because I’ve paid it, sometimes in reputation, sometimes in relationships, always in sleepless nights. I did not chase or choose leadership; it chose me. I just wanted to do the work, but they don’t tell you it's the deepest and most authentic form of leadership there is.
I write this book not as an academic standing at a safe distance (though I am that as well), but as someone forged in the heat of trauma and leadership. I have been betrayed, broken, and burned. I have also risen, rebuilt, and reclaimed my voice. That journey is not abstract theory; it’s lived resilience, and that is the foundation of every word on these pages.
I’m also a practitioner. For years I’ve worked with military, first responders, survivors of human trafficking and violence, parents, teachers, and professionals. I have sat with the broken and the brave, studied the psychology and neuroscience that explain their pain, and created practical frameworks that turn theory into tools. My work is not just about understanding trauma, its about equipping people to lead through it, to transform it, and to stand unshaken when the world shakes around them.
Most of all, I am willing to speak when others remain silent. I am willing to face the backlash, the misunderstanding, and the cost of standing for what I believe: that leadership in this age must be trauma-informed, or it will fail. The stakes are too high, the wounds are too deep, and the moment is too urgent for anything less. I refuse to let silence have the final word and I am willing to face the cost."

Excerpt From the Introduction of "Leading Through the Fire: Trauma-Informed Leadership For a New Era" by Krista Fee

"Leadership has always been born in the crucible of struggle. Across history, those who dared to stand up, to speak truth in seasons of chaos, carried both the weight of vision and the scars of the battlefield. From the prophets who cried out in the wilderness to the revolutionaries who declared freedom against impossible odds to the civil rights leaders who marched in the face of brutality, history remembers them not for their perfection but for their courage to bleed for the message.
We live in such a moment again. Our culture is fractured, polarized, and overwhelmed. Institutions once trusted to guide and protect are cracking under the strain of corruption, burnout, and mistrust. Leaders are falling —not only morally, but also mentally, emotionally, and physically —under the weight of systems that never taught them how to carry the human soul with wisdom and care. The modern battlefield is not always waged with bullets and bombs; today, it is waged with words, influence, and the courage to stand unshaken in a storm of digital warfare, cultural division, and weaponized narratives. The microphone itself has become both sword and shield."

Leading Through the Fire: Trauma-Informed Leadership for a New Era
Trauma-informed leadership is not a soft skill for the future; it’s the survival skill for the present. The next generation of leaders will inherit a world grappling with collective stress, burnout, crisis, and the ripple effects of trauma in workplaces, communities, and systems. In this Course, I’ll unpack what it means to lead with both strength and awareness, how neuroscience, psychology, and practical leadership tools converge to create environments where people can thrive rather than simply survive. We’ll explore how unrecognized trauma impacts decision-making, team dynamics, and innovation, and I’ll leave you with actionable strategies to build resilience, foster trust, and lead in ways that honor both mission and humanity. The leaders who rise with this awareness won’t just adapt to the future; they’ll be the ones shaping it.

🎙️ New Episode Announcement
“Leader.” We throw the word around every day—in offices, in politics, in nonprofits, even in families. But what does it actually mean?
In Episode 2, we strip leadership back to its core. Titles don’t make you a leader. Positions don’t make you a leader. Leadership is about responsibility—carrying weight for others, setting direction when no one else will, and making choices that ripple through people’s lives.
I’ll unpack the difference between positional leadership and true, trauma-informed leadership—leadership that doesn’t dominate but serves, that doesn’t wound but heals. We’ll look at why the culture of leadership has become so diluted, and how we can reclaim a model that restores trust, integrity, and hope in the places we serve.
If you’ve ever sat in a meeting and thought, “How did this person get called a leader?”—this episode will give you clarity on what real leadership is and how to embody it yourself.
