Thanksgiving. Giving thanks. Regardless of which way you say it, it is a virtue we live by and a cornerstone of Caring With Integrity. Nothing makes us happier than giving back to the communities our homes are in! Arcadia Valley donated 75 boxes of stuffing to the Athens Senior Center to fill for Thanksgiving meals going out to the seniors in need of Athens County.

Our October Employee of the Month is Fred Mick! Fred received several nominations for this by the staff he works with directly. Fred is appreciated for always helping the aides with their duties as well as completing his own. He is always willing to jump in and do any job that needs done, regardless of what that might be. Fred is a true powerhouse on our night shift. Thank you, Fred, for all that you do. We appreciate you so much!

Our Employee of the Month for September was Bonnie Scott. Bonnie is our newest housekeeper hire, and while she has only been here a few months, she has already made a big impact! Our Housekeeping staff not only provide a critical service keeping everything sanitized and disinfected in an effort to limit the spread of bacteria, you will often find them forming close relationships with our residents. Bonnie is one of those people. She might be in a room helping a resident tidy up, but you can be sure she is also asking them how their day is going and if they need anything. Congratulations, Bonnie. Keep up the good work!

Today the crew helped out with the annual Tailgate Party we sponsor at the Belpre Senior Center with our sister facility Belpre Landing Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as well as Generations Home Health Care Solutions, LLC, Buckeye Hospice and Palliative Care Services, Valor Ambulance Service, Lancaster House and The Vault! Great food by Chef Bryan, cash cube with Ohio State apparel winnings, amazing dessert , and, of course, bingo! We even had a special appearance by Brutus!

Our August Employee of the Month was Angela Denney! Angie is an STNA and has been with us for almost four years. Angie really takes the time to get to know the residents in her care. Knowing their preferences is important to her. Angie believes that you can't give the residents your best until you know what they consider your best, and we agree! Congratulations, Angie! Keep up the good work and never lose that oh so friendly personality of yours.
