Words can’t express the depth of our gratitude for everything you did to make our wedding day truly unforgettable. To our amazing wedding planners, Haleigh Disharoon Knight, Juddy Knight, and , thank you for your tireless efforts, creativity, and dedication in bringing our dream wedding to life. You took every detail into your hands and made it all seamless, leaving us with nothing but joy and peace of mind.

To our wonderful officiant, Dan Clifford, thank you for your beautiful words and guidance. You made our ceremony so meaningful and personal, giving us a moment we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

And to our beloved family and friends, thank you for your love, support, and for being by our sides, not just on our wedding day, but throughout our journey. Your presence, encouragement, and the countless ways you helped us along the way meant the world to us. We are incredibly blessed to have such a strong circle of love surrounding us as we begin this new chapter together.

To be back home is bittersweet. Blue Ridge has always been home to me and I have never really considered venturing off too far, but, I left a piece of my heart back in San Diego. It was the trip of a lifetime and so many wonderful memories and relationships were made. Til we meet again SD. Rest assured, it will be sooner rather than later.

Had a blast on our last full day in California on a tour of Hollywood checking out where the celebrities live and hang out. So much fun was had!

It has been exactly one month since my dad was admitted to the hospital for chest pains and a mild heart attack. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We had been trying to get him scheduled for a heart catherization for a couple of weeks to no avail. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thankfully after taking the medical advice from someone in the medical field, we took him to the emergency room and he was admitted immediately. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They had put him on a nitroglycerin drip and it was shortly after that that the chest pains began to get worse and the scheduled cath had to be rushed.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They moved him to ICU and performed the cath. Results would show that there had been a mild heart attack and a significant blockage, blocking two arteries (also known as the Widow Maker) that would require a double bypass. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He had surgery at 7 AM the next morning. Thankfully, the surgery went great! He was finally able to come home after 10 days in the hospital! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After coming home, we were closely monitoring all of the warning signs we were given and the main concern was the considerable amount of weight gain he had over a period of 24 hours. Thankfully, I listened to my gut and took him back to the ER where he was admitted for a second time and spent a few more days in the hospital. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After one more visit to the ER a few days later for the same reason and an adjustment to his medication, he was back home the same day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The past month has been a roller coaster of emotions and events, but it has all been worth it to still have my dad with us. He is an incredible husband, father, friend, and man of God. I am so very blessed to be his daughter. If I have learned one thing through all of this, it would be to not take time with your loved ones for granted (and to take more photos).
