Warmer weather is on the way, and that means it’s time for a good spring clean! These vans help us travel across the community each day, serving and supporting the wonderful seniors we are honored to care for.

A clean van isn’t just about looks—it represents the pride we take in our work and the commitment we have to showing up for our participants every single day. 🚐💚

We’re ready for the warmer days ahead and many more miles serving our community!

🏀 What an exciting week for Eastern Kentucky basketball!

Mountain View PACE was proud to be part of the 15th Region Boys & Girls Basketball Tournament at the Appalachian Wireless Arena. We loved meeting so many wonderful people from across our community and truly appreciate everyone who stopped by our booth and entered our raffle basket drawings.

Congratulations to our raffle basket winners, Ronnie Tackett and Penny Fairchild! 🎉 We hope you enjoy your baskets.

We’d also like to congratulate all of the teams who competed in this year’s tournament. Your dedication, talent, and sportsmanship made it a great event for our entire region!!

On Thursday, March 5, we had such a nice surprise in Corbin. The Chamber of Commerce stopped by to “chamber” us, and it honestly meant a lot. They took time to congratulate us, check in on how things are going, and just make us feel welcomed and supported here in Whitley County. They even brought a little gift, which was so thoughtful.

I’m grateful for community partners who care enough to show up, encourage you, and help you feel connected. It was a really good reminder that we’re all in this together.

So today we had a Spring Wreath Social at Friendship House, and it was awesome. We worked on interchangeable wreaths and made the cutest spring pieces, but the best part was the time together. These ladies had me laughing the whole time, and the pictures say it all.

A big thank you to Friendship House for having us, and thank you to Tasha for always helping us pull everything together and making sure everyone has a good time. I’m so grateful for community partners like y’all.

Spring Wreath Social at Chapel House in Knox County was such a good day.

We had sunshine, lots of laughs, and so much fun helping everyone update their interchangeable wreaths with a spring bow and bouquet or a St. Patrick’s Day design. Thank you to Chapel House for having us and for always making us feel so welcome. And yes, I brought the cupcakes this time.

I loved getting to visit with everyone and answer questions about Mountain View PACE and what we do.

Next stop, Friendship House this Friday. I can’t wait to see you all and do it again.

MVP MOMENTS THAT MATTER!
Honoring Mamaw Lois Musgrove. 💚 💙

Our family looked into Mountain View PACE because I wanted to keep Mamaw Lois at home with me for as long as possible. Time was precious, and being together in the comfort of our home meant so much to both of us.

One of the biggest helps for us was having her medications mailed to us and getting the supplies she needed. Those little things took a lot of stress off and helped me take better care of her day to day.

At first, I honestly did not think she would enjoy coming to the Center, but it ended up being such a blessing. She made friends, she got to socialize, and she looked forward to going. It gave her something to look forward to, and it helped me too because I worked full time and I knew she was not alone.

If I could tell another family one thing, it would be this, do not wait. You will not be disappointed. If you are unsure, take a walk through and see what it is all about. The employees treat you like family and nothing less.

What I will always remember most is how the team showed up for us. When my granny was sick or in the hospital with heart failure, they called to check on her and on me. When she had a stroke and was on palliative care, several individuals from Mountain View PACE came to see her and prayed with us. When she passed, they paid their respects at her funeral, even the bus driver who picked her up came to the hospital and the funeral. They were not just there for a paycheck. They sincerely cared, and my granny was one of them. I saw it and I lived it.

Thank you, Mamaw Lois, for letting us love you. And thank you to Mountain View PACE for loving her right.

Thank you, SEKRI, for letting Mountain View PACE come spend the day with you at the Corbin plant on the bypass. We literally could not wait to get there.

Lunch was great, but the company was even better. You all have an amazing team, and we loved getting to meet so many of you.

We are excited to help you stay healthy and stay at home, while still being able to keep working and doing what you love. If you are 55+ and live in Knox, Whitley, or Clay County, you may qualify for Mountain View PACE. We can help coordinate your care and help with transportation to and from doctor appointments and other needed visits.

And we loved getting to do a fun giveaway too. Congrats to our winner of the Igloo cooler prize packed full of goodies. Dave way to go!!
