And last, but certainly not least, August is all about cultivation.
As summer winds down and the harvest season begins, we wanted to incorporate some of the most important lessons into our final four camps of the summer.
🌾 Farm Foundations: campers will get to learn about behind-the-scenes tasks that we farmers do daily that keep the farm running. Upkeep, chores, and other important elements that oftentimes get overlooked.
🐥 Timeless Moments: our youngest campers will help us prepare the farm for fall. What do our animals need to prepare for chilly temperatures? What about our plants?
🍠 The Squash Cycle: We may have touched on seasonal crops already, but there's plenty more to do in the fall! We'll talk about crop rotation, what we can plant during the fall, winter, and springtime, and how we prepare the farm for a midwest winter.
🐐 Farm Finale: Join us as we prepare for the fall, the harvest, and a finale that'll make going back to school worthwhile!
