Energetic Influence and Intention:

What you’re describing has been documented in various ways throughout history, often referred to as the ability to “harm” or “kill” through a stare, or the concept of “thought energy” or “intention.” In some cultures, this phenomenon is tied to the "evil eye" or maleficent gazes, where the force of intent — the conscious will — directed with a certain focus can have a real-world impact on something living. From a quantum perspective, this idea could potentially be tied to how energy or vibrations interact.

1. Intention as Energy:

If we view thoughts and emotions as more than fleeting mental states, as actual energy expressions, then intention becomes a force, not unlike light, sound, or magnetism. Brain activity produces measurable electromagnetic fields, and emotional states alter not just our physiology but also the vibrational coherence of our energy signature. Extending this logic, a focused thought or deliberate intention could radiate outward and subtly interact with the energetic field of another being, much like how a tuning fork sets a nearby string into resonance.

In physics, we accept that invisible fields, from gravity to electromagnetism, govern much of what we experience in the material world. If thoughts and feelings operate as energetic emissions, then it isn’t far-fetched to imagine them as creating ripples in the subtle field of life, influencing systems beyond the confines of the body.

Quantum mechanics offers an intriguing metaphor for this. Before measurement, a particle exists in superposition, embodying many potential states at once. When observed, that superposition collapses into a definite reality, a process sometimes called “wavefunction collapse.” If consciousness itself participates in this collapse, then a focused gaze or intention could act as an energetic “choice point,” selecting one reality over another.

Applied to living systems, this suggests that when you concentrate on a plant, animal, or person, whether with benevolence, curiosity, or hostility, your intention might bias their energetic possibilities, nudging them toward one state rather than another... Some traditions have long spoken of the “evil eye” or the healing power of blessing, ideas that align with the notion that attention itself is an energetic act. In this framework, malice or negativity could impose stress on another’s field, while compassion and love could strengthen coherence and vitality.

The implications are profound: intention is not private, but participatory. It is not simply housed within the mind but radiates outward, engaging the subtle architecture of reality. Every thought becomes a potential act of creation or disruption, reinforcing the idea that consciousness is an active force in the unfolding of life’s patterns.

2. Subtle Energy Transfer:

In certain esoteric or spiritual practices, it’s believed that we all have an aura or energy field that extends beyond the physical body. If one person’s aura or energy field interacts with the aura of another, especially with a focused intention (even unconsciously), that interaction could cause a disruption in the other’s energetic balance.

For instance, when someone intensely glares at a plant or animal, they might not just be looking at it; they could be projecting a specific emotional or energetic frequency that the organism then responds to. It’s not just a physical look; it’s an energetic exchange that can affect the biological system of the plant or animal.

3. Quantum Entanglement and Influence:

Quantum entanglement describes a mysterious connection where two particles, once linked, remain bound in such a way that the state of one instantly affects the state of the other, no matter how far apart they may be. Traditionally, this has been seen as a purely physical phenomenon, but if we think more broadly, it can serve as a metaphor for the invisible threads that link all living systems...

If consciousness itself arises from, or is woven into, the quantum field, then our awareness, focus, and intention may act like those entangled particles. Just as observation changes the outcome of a quantum experiment, human intention might subtly influence the energetic patterns of the world around us. In this view, your attention is not passive, it is participatory...

Imagine every organism as part of an intricate, entangled web of life, where the "signal" of your consciousness interacts with the energetic "field" of another being. A simple act, like focusing on a plant with gratitude, could trigger a subtle entanglement event. Your body’s electromagnetic field, your thought vibrations, and even the coherence of your emotional state could resonate with that organism’s field... This resonance might alter the plant’s physiological responses, perhaps in ways too delicate for conventional instruments to detect, yet real within the fabric of life’s interconnected energy.

This suggests that influence isn’t always mechanical or local. It might ripple through the quantum field itself, showing up as synchronicities, intuitive connections, or subtle shifts in biological systems. In this sense, every act of intention carries weight: the simple choice to observe with love, to focus with clarity, or to acknowledge the life of another being could create micro-entanglements that shape the health, growth, or vitality of that organism and, in turn, feed back into your own state of being.

From this perspective, consciousness is not isolated within the brain but acts as a participatory agent in the quantum field of life. Our inner states may be far more influential than we realize, serving as hidden bridges of connection that bind us to all other forms of existence.

4. The War of Intentions: Collective Fields and the Web of Influence

If intention is a force, then the environment we live in is not neutral. Every group — families, workplaces, communities, and even nations — carries a collective field of intention woven from the thoughts, emotions, and beliefs of its members. This creates an “energetic atmosphere” that can either uplift or suppress, harmonize or fragment.

In familiar circles, such as family or close friendships, intentions often flow unconsciously. A parent’s unspoken worry, a friend’s subtle envy, or a coworker’s competitive edge can ripple into our own energy field, shaping how we feel and act. Over time, repeated exposure to these energetic imprints can create patterns of limitation: beliefs we inherit without questioning, emotional tones we absorb as our own, or subtle stressors that erode vitality. Just as secondhand smoke lingers in the body, secondhand intention can linger in the psyche and field.

Work environments illustrate this vividly. A culture of fear, pressure, or cynicism generates a dense field that individuals must navigate daily. Even without words, the collective intention — “you are only valued for output,” “mistakes are not tolerated,” “we are all competing” — broadcasts itself like a background frequency. Those immersed in it often feel drained or constrained, not by any single person’s will but by the shared vibration of the group. Conversely, a workplace that radiates collaboration, creativity, and trust generates coherence in its members, amplifying each person’s capacity to thrive.

Friend groups, too, create resonant fields. Shared narratives — “life is a struggle,” “success is scarce,” “we’re unlucky” — reinforce themselves through repetition. The group intention becomes a container that either empowers or limits. When collective attention orients around scarcity or fear, it contracts possibility. When it orients around joy, vision, or growth, it expands it.

Yet within this war of intentions, moments of solitude become crucial. Solitude offers a clearing space, a chance to withdraw from the collective web and tune inward. In stillness, one’s intention is amplified, freed from the distortions of others’ projections. Like a pendulum returning to its natural rhythm after being pushed by conflicting forces, solitude allows the individual field to reset, realign, and broadcast with greater coherence. From this centered place, a person not only resists the pull of limiting collective intentions but can also re-enter the web as an agent of transformation, subtly shifting the collective through their clarity.

This perspective reveals life as a continual negotiation between personal intention and collective fields. Each thought and emotion contributes to the shared atmosphere, just as each individual must navigate the intentions already in place. The “war” is not fought with weapons but with focus, coherence, and the ability to hold a vision strong enough to resist dilution. In this way, collective intention becomes both a challenge and an opportunity: a reminder that we are always influencing and being influenced in the subtle architecture of energy that binds us all.
