I was vaccinated the end of December 2020….I celebrated this, took a deep breath and finally thought all is well now. For those who follow this page, we are now tackling the variant Delta virus out of India. This is not over, please be careful out there and get vaccinated.

We have had the Delta variance virus in our facility in La Jara, Colorado. It infected vaccinated and non vaccinated. Those vaccinated residents had few symptoms and I am grateful they were all vaccinated. I don’t want to imagine what could have happened had they not been.

I will ask everyone again, please get vaccinated and protect yourselves and those in your lives who are the most vulnerable to this virus.

CMS issued new visitation guidelines over a week ago, CDPHE says we cannot follow them until they say we can. Well let’s get it done CDPHE...these vaccinations need to count. Our residents need to hug their families. We are all waiting on you to care enough to let these people see their family. It shouldn’t take this long for you to write new guidelines.
