Congratulations to Jackie Foster, ambulatory care clinical pharmacist at Samaritan Geary Street Pharmacy, and one of Samaritan Albany General Hospital's December Rising Stars! 🌟

Jackie’s commitment to quality care and patient safety stands out. During a recent visit, she recommended urgent follow-up with nephrology for a patient experiencing worsening symptoms – likely preventing an Emergency Department visit over the weekend. Jackie didn’t stop there! She checked MyChart days later and followed up to make sure the patient was doing better.

Her thoughtfulness and persistence show how much she cares about the people we serve. Thank you, Jackie, for making a real difference in patient care! 💙

👉 Barb Mason is a certified medical assistant who has worked for Samaritan in Lincoln City for more than 19 years. She currently works with the orthopedic and podiatry providers at Samaritan Health Clinic - Hwy 101 (formerly called Samaritan Coastal Clinic). Barb was praised for her compassionate, friendly and dependable work ethic. Congrats, Barb! ❤️

Fourteen students recently received a total of $45,000 in scholarships from the Lebanon Community Hospital Foundation to help them step into nursing and medical careers!🎉

Because of support like this, we'll see more:
🩺Future nurses holding a stethoscope for the first time.
👩‍⚕️Future doctors committed to making a difference in rural communities.
❤️ Future caregivers who will sit at someone’s bedside on a hard day and say, “You’re not alone.”

🌩️Due to power outages caused by the current storm, all Samaritan clinics in Lincoln City are closed for the remainder of the day. Remaining open are Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital and Samaritan Pharmacy on the hospital campus as these locations have back-up power. Stay safe out there!

The safety of parents and babies has always been—and will always be—our priority. Due to unexpected physician departures, a regional OB-GYN shortage, and the need for continuous inpatient physician coverage to safely support deliveries, we will 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐲 pause labor and delivery services at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital beginning 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Outpatient OB-GYN care will continue at the Lebanon Health Center on Fifth Street on a limited basis.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞.

We remain fully committed to restoring services as quickly and safely as possible and are actively recruiting clinicians.
