Weโ€™re excited to recognize Melissa Babbitt with Infusion Services at Samaritan Albany General Hospital as one of our Rising Stars! ๐ŸŒŸ A patientโ€™s ride home didnโ€™t go as planned, which turned into a stressful moment for everyone involved. Melissa stepped in to sort out the details with multiple contacts while arranging a new pickup. She also made sure the patient felt supported while waiting by offering reassurance, food and water. Her calm approach helped turn a tough situation into something manageable. ๐Ÿ’™

๐ŸŽ‰ Big news in Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital! Thanks to proceeds from the Pacific Communities Health District Foundationโ€™s 2025 Gala & Auction, weโ€™ve welcomed three new recumbent steppers. Gratefully, an additional anonymous donor generously funded a new elliptical machine for the department. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

The team is thrilled to replace aging equipment and expand access for patients. As Manager Ashley Nordstrom shared, โ€œThe Nu-Steps are our most popular and adaptable machines. Replacing them allows us to increase class sizes and serve more patients in our community.โ€

With thousands of patient visits each year, this upgrade will make a real impact. Even Department Secretary Marcy couldnโ€™t resist testing out the new gear! ๐Ÿ’™

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, yet it is also one of the most treatable when detected early.

During this webinar, hear from gastroenterologist Chad Morse, MD, and medical oncologist John Strother, MD, as they explain why early screening is so important, review the most commonly used testing options and discuss what to expect and how to move forward if a positive diagnosis occurs.
