Today is World Su***de Prevention Day❤️‍🩹

Su***de is the second leading cause of death among young people aged 10-14, and the third leading cause among 15-24 year olds (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

Men die by su***de nearly 4X more than women.

LGBTQ+ young people are 4x more likely to attempt than their peers.

Meet Monday: Meet Jessalyn Fehrman!

Jessalyn is a part-time clinician with OFCC. She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2020. She primarily works with adolescents and families. Jessalyn provides services to the Coshocton Alternative School when it is in session. When she is not working, Jessalyn and her spouse have a blended family with six children. Jessalyn can be found chasing her kids around ball fields, dance studios, or anywhere in between.

Meet Jody McCarthy! Jodi has 18 years’ experience with children and adolescents ages 5-18, teaching and mentoring in private school and community settings. Jodi is currently an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist and serves as Chief Clinical Officer of Operations for OFC&C.
Jodi obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix in 2012 and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in 2015. After working part-time for a year, Jodi became full-time with OFCC in August of 2020. Jodi has been trained in Integrative Family and Systems Treatment and has experience working with youth with problematic sexual behavior. Jodi is active with her church and family. She serves as Treasurer for Coshocton CARES.

Meet Monday: Meet Paul Sipe!

Paul is a Qualified Mental Health Specialist and Therapeutic Support Specialist. Paul joined the OFCC team in 2023. Previously, Paul worked at a Secure Treatment Facility with juveniles for twelve years. Prior to moving to Ohio, Paul lived in Pennsylvania. Paul meets clients where they are and helps them navigate difficult family and community interactions. He likes to laugh and have fun, and also knows when it is time to get down to business. When not working you can find Paul working out, hunting, working around his house and yard, or tending to his chickens.

Meet Monday: Mindy Fehrman!
Mindy works part-time at OFCC and is our billing specialist. She also conducts CANS assessments and other administrative tasks. Having in worked in social services for over 30 years, she retired in 2017. In addition to her work at OFCC, Mindy consults for the Ohio START program and enjoys as much time as possible with her family, including seven grandchildren.
