So your little one’s been sleeping with white noise since day one… but now you’re wondering: when and how do we say goodbye? 🤍

Here’s the good news — you don’t have to rush it!

White noise isn’t “bad” — it’s an incredible tool! It mimics the comforting, familiar sounds of the womb + help signal those ‘sleepy cues.’

HOWEVER, it’s okay if a family’s goal shifts from “anything to get sleep” → to “let’s build flexibility.”💪🏼

If you’re ready to phase it out, here’s how to do it gently while keeping your routine.

1️⃣ Lower the volume a little each night over a week or two.
2️⃣ Move the sound machine farther from the crib each few days.
3️⃣ Switch to a softer sound (like rain or a fan) before turning it off completely.
4️⃣ MOST IMPORTANTLY, keep all other sleep cues consistent — same routine, same bedtime, same environment.

Most babies adjust beautifully when the rest of their sleep setup stays predictable. 💫
