On Christmas Eve, our family’s lives changed forever. A gas can exploded during a small gathering, engulfing my bonus-daughter’s younger sister, Andrea, in flames. Brianna, who is currently finishing chemotherapy was the one who ran to her sister and helped put out the fire. Andrea suffered burns over 70% of her body and is now in a medically induced coma.
Brianna is a single mom of four young children who witnessed this tragedy. She had just started a new job but is in no shape physically or emotionally to work while healing from cancer and trauma. We’re raising funds to help cover basic living expenses so she can focus on her children and her recovery.
