Helping him to learn how to swallow correctly, breathe through his nose and rest his tongue in the roof of the mouth has enabled him to eat better and gain weight which has been a problem for him. Now that our anniversary vacation is over it is time to get back to work!!
I am so excited to have been accepted into the Breathe Institutes Myo Mastermind program!! Nine months of weekly meetings learning the latest research, collaborating with other health care professionals and learning proven methods to help with airway issues, and muscle disfunction of the head and neck among other things. Being a lifelong learner means never stopping, there is always new and better information to learn to help those who need it.

Tongue position and function can greatly affect the growth and development of the upper and lower jaws along with the size of the nasal sinus. Myofunctional therapy works to develop good tongue position and function for better growth of the jaws, increased nasal breathing and reduction of restless sleep.
