Health Trends to Keep in 2025:
-Protein is Queen – Building blocks for muscle, hormones, and cells - aka everything.
-Prioritizing Sleep – The ultimate health hack for healing and energy. Nothing is working if you aren’t sleeping well.
-Regenerative Farming – Supporting sustainable food for the planet and body.
-Reducing Toxic Exposure – Small swaps make a big difference.
-Balancing Blood Sugar – The foundation for hormone health and energy. And cells.
-Gut Health Focus – It’s at the root of everything.
-Personalized Health – Testing and protocols tailored to you. There are so many variables and everyone is different.
-Magnesium – The calm and energy mineral most people need more of.
-Red Light Therapy – Skin, hormones, and cellular health boost.
-Alcohol Free Movement – Long term health > societal pressure.
-Holistic Skincare - More gua sha, dry brushing, facial taping, face yoga please!
-Infrared Sauna – Detox and support those cells!

Health Trends to Ditch in 2025:
-Running to Expensive Tests –Hear me out! I love functional testing, truly. My qualm is when we feel like we need to do that but we aren’t sleeping, eating protein, etc. Testing does not eliminate the need to do the work.
-Skipping Meals – Blood sugar roller coasters and hormone chaos ensue. Weight loss from deprivation is only temporary.
-Vegan Meat Replacements – Real > ultra-processed. Every. Time.
-The notion that health has to be expensive– you can make it expensive if you want to, but the best things are free. I just want us to ditch that idea that it can’t be done without a ton of extra gadgets.
-Overly-rigid, all-or-nothing fitness and diet challenges that prioritize intensity over sustainability – The beauty of tuning into your body’s ever changing needs and allowing for ebbs and flows leads to optimal health. What is sustainable and consistent is what changes us for the best.
-Detoxes and cleanses you buy from social media. Just so many red flags.

What trends are you keeping or ditching this year? Let me know! 👇🏼

Imbalanced blood sugar is a fright! 🎃 Here’s how to keep it balanced this Halloween:

1️⃣ Start the night with a protein heavy meal balanced with fat and plenty of fiber. Protein, fat, and fiber not only satiate and nourish but they slow the glucose release, dampening blood sugar spikes and crashes. 2️⃣ Pick your favorites – Even if you use all the tricks, treats still turn to glucose in your blood, no matter how much protein you pair them with. Choose your must-have treats and leave the rest behind! 3️⃣ Go for whole food treats – Ingredients your body recognizes (like coconut sugar and grass-fed butter) are easier to process, leaving more energy for balancing hormones and other vital functions. I like to trade my candy for homemade baked goods, and my kids will swap me for the “better” options that have better quality ingredients and are formulated without dyes. I will have these stashed at home, and keep in my bag to be ready to swap anytime we get bombared with treats (which is literally everywhere this time of year). 4️⃣ Walk it off – A 20-minute walk after a treat helps burn off glucose and prevents it from being stored away as fat. 5️⃣Create traditions that are not centered around sweets...hype up things like spending time with friends and neighbors, dressing up in fun costumes, carving pumpkins, or watching a favorite movie.

Enjoy the season with energy, balanced hormones, and no sugar crashes! 🍂✨

🌱 Siete Bought by PepsiCo for $1.2 Billion…and the internet is freaking out. 🌱 Here are some of my thoughts:
I get it — big corporations buying out health brands can make us all a little uneasy. We KNOW the big corporations aren’t concerned with our health. We’ve seen companies change after buyouts to cheapen the product...it happens. But it hasn’t happened YET. It also doesn’t always happen…case in point, Primal Kitchen and Hu. It will depend on the contract Siete signed with PepsiCo.
On the flip side, small health-focused companies often need business deals like this to survive long-term. Getting on grocery store shelves is very expensive and many start-ups are still in debt.
This buyout is also a sign that demand for healthier products is forcing corporations to shift.
If corporations did not want to offer healthy options, many of our favorite products would disappear, as start ups will likely not survive for very long if they want to also be accessible. 💸
Corporations DO want to offer healthier options because they are seeing the $$ demand $$! People are waking up to the fact that health requires us to live unconventionally. The demand for health is growing, and it’s impacting the economy so that the corporations HAVE TO get on board.
I am extremely hopeful for a big shift in industry as the masses wake up to the fact that healthier living is not just a trend but a necessity. I hope that this signals a positive shift in the industry.
We have power as consumers — spend wisely and keep demanding whole foods and products made with your health in mind. 🌿
