Please email, call, or direct message for additional information, including a free fitness assessment! Meet Colleen and Discover her Fitness Journey! My name is Colleen Marciano, and I’m happily married to my husband Keith and proud Mom to my son, Finn. I have always been an active person, constantly involved in sports, but my fitness journey really began in 2018. I would workout at the gym but would only do cardio since I was extremely intimidated by the weights, the machines, and even asking for help. I did not like the feeling of people watching me lift weights, feeling like I was doing something wrong and overall, just feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. It was at this moment I decided to quit the big gym chain, and look for other alternatives where I wouldn’t feel as intimidated. I did find a new gym that was a private gym, which had none of the big equipment or the judgment, and it also challenged me to branch out of my cardio and focus on more HIIT. I was in the best shape of my life until March 2020 when the pandemic hit. Like most folks, I was working from home, homeschooling my son and completely stressed out. Unfortunately, after the shutdown, I was laid off. I had to quit the private gym since we were down to one income. Who would have thought that I would be crying quitting a gym? But that is how much I loved going and how much it helped me, both mentally and physically. I went on a downhill spiral of being depressed, anxious, over-eating, sleep deprived, & extremely short-tempered. I was like this throughout the summer of 2020, and continued spiraling downwards. I reached my heaviest weight of 220 and hated myself. I hit a low point and realized that something needed to change and fast. It has been a difficult journey but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I was my worst critic, barely able to walk a mile, realizing that I had to change my diet and workout regimen completely. I noticed an immediate difference in my mood and overall behavior once I made the changes. I was sleeping better, my anxiety decreased, and I had an overall, better attitude. After the New Year, I continued to do a lot of self-reflection and I came to the realization that I wanted to help other people who were struggling since I could understand where they were coming from. I did a lot of research and enrolled in classes for Nutrition, Personal Training, and Strength and Conditioning. After a lot of hard work, I passed my courses and proudly received my certificates! I am completely DETERMINED to be the best that I can be, to push myself out of my comfort zone, and to simply be proud of me and proud to be me!! And now, I am here to help you - help you to be PROUD, DETERMINED, and be PUSHED to be the BEST person that you can BE!! ☺
