We are launching a community initiative to support older adults who face barriers to essential assistance in connecting to critical resources, such as accessible transportation to medical appointments, especially those who do not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid transportation benefits and need help connecting to critical resources like food assistance, utility support, and other community services.
Many seniors fall into a gap where they do not qualify for Medicaid transportation, and Medicare does not cover routine rides. Even those who qualify often face long wait times, strict scheduling rules, or limited service areas. As a result, seniors miss critical medical appointments or go without necessities.
This fundraiser will help us provide:
🚐 Transportation assistance for seniors who do not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid transit services, ensuring they can get to medical appointments and essential services
🧭 Community navigation support to help seniors access food programs, utility assistance, and other community resources
Your donation will directly support vulnerable seniors in our community, helping them remain independent, healthier, and connected.
