This role is perfect for someone passionate about advocating for older adults and supporting families through complex care decisions.

• Acting as a client advocate
• Supporting families through care transitions
• Connecting clients with community resources
• Collaborating with healthcare providers
• Providing guidance, education, and emotional support

🎓 Ideal background: • Degree in Social Work or Nursing

I would like to extend my gratitude to the Rotary Club of Harrisonburg for inviting me as a guest speaker. As we approach National Healthcare Decisions Day on April 16, my discussion centered around the importance of advanced care planning. I commenced by referencing Benjamin Franklin's astute observation, “if you fail to plan, your plan will fail.” During my presentation, I highlighted potential challenges associated with not having advanced directives in place and emphasized the significance of appointing a healthcare agent, stressing the need for timely conversations prior to a crisis situation.
