...it’s not over yet.

Let’s be honest—some chapters feel impossible. The kind where nothing makes sense, nothing feels good, and the best you can do is get through the day. It’s in those moments that the nervous system locks down. It stops adapting, stops recalibrating. It simply braces. And when you’ve been in that state long enough, you start to believe the lie that this is just how it’s going to be from now on.

But it’s not. That’s not the end of the story. That’s not even the middle. That’s the signal: keep going.

Here's the secret to (finally) escaping fight or flight and regulating the nervous system: https://megreynolds.com/blog/its-not-over-yet/

Why Meditation Apps (Usually) Don’t Work

Even with more than 2,500 new relaxation and meditation apps released since 2015, research shows these digital tools often fall short. The main issue: using an app means you’re teaching yourself to meditate, without personal guidance.

Data from the National Institute of Health shows user engagement with meditation apps drops dramatically within the first week of download (Baumel et al., 2019).

Stress Is rising — and our practices matter more than ever.

As stress-related illness becomes increasingly common, the most powerful tools may be the ones that help us release overload before it becomes breakdown.

You don’t need to wait until you’re falling apart to begin.

For many people of faith, meditation can feel confusing or even off-limits.

But when you slow down and look closely, Scripture has a lot to say about stillness, reflection, and the “meditation of the heart.”

I wrote this article to explore that connection — and to look more closely at what the Bible actually says about meditation.

I’ll be in Blacksburg, VA from April 21st-24th to teach a four-day Learn to Meditate course, and we’d love for you to join us.

Blacksburg is where Virginia Tech meets the Blue Ridge Mountains and New River Valley. You’ll find a balance of energy and calm that naturally supports rest and reflection.

Why Vedic Meditation?
It is a simple, effortless technique that allows the mind to settle into deep rest — releasing stress and restoring clarity. All it requires is a comfortable seated position and about 20 minutes, twice a day.

Learning Vedic meditation helps you to handle stress with ease, think more clearly, feel happier, strengthen your relationships, build resilience, improve your health, and move confidently toward your purpose—all from a calm, grounded state of mind.

Spring officially starts today.

Even if your calendar looks the same…
even if your workload hasn’t changed…
the nervous system still notices more light, more warmth, more ease.

Sometimes that can make the biggest difference.

Any small spring surprises you are noticing?

For a long time, the 11th Step felt like a mystery to me.

Prayer? I understood.
Meditation? Not so much.

What eventually changed my relationship to meditation—and to my own nervous system—wasn’t discipline or effort. It was learning how to do it in a way that actually worked for a mind in recovery.

I wrote about that journey here, in case you’re navigating something similar.

Is it hard to get started with Vedic Meditation?

No! It's incredibly easy. And it's a practice that keeps on giving for a lifetime. All it takes is 20 minutes and finding a comfortable seated position.

All you need is a teacher!

That's where I come in. I am a veteran Vedic Meditator and an expert teacher with 30 years of experience. 🤓🪷

Vedic Meditation comes from the ancient teachings of the Veda. When you practice VM, you connect with a deep sense of calm and awareness that already exists inside you. This tradition has been passed down for thousands of years and helps you move beyond constant thoughts, bringing you peace and clarity.
