Only 1 week away until GivingTuesday!! We’re heading into the busiest shopping week of the year! In 2024, shoppers spent $10.8 billion on Black Friday alone. Imagine the impact if even a small portion of that generosity was directed toward mental health support. 💚

That’s the heart of Giving Tuesday—a day to pause the spending and give back. This year, it falls on Tuesday, December 2, just one week away!

Your donation provides HOPE this holiday season. 💙Will you join us in supporting mental health on Giving Tuesday?

Yesterday, our Spanish Family Support Group gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving—and our hearts are truly full. We are incredibly grateful to offer Spanish-language services where families can feel seen, supported, and understood. These spaces are more than programs; they are community, healing, and hope.

A very special thank-you to Elba Hernandez for her compassion, dedication, and the love she brings to every gathering.

On Tuesday, the NAMI Board and Members approved our newest Board Member: Hillary Crumlett! Please join us in welcoming Hillary to our Board of Directors.

Hillary is the Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive at Huntley Northwestern Hospital. Hillary's personal passion for mental health and deep experience in healthcare, operations, and organizational leadership makes her an ideal addition to our board.

When asked why she wants to serve on the NAMI board, Hillary said, "I am particularly drawn to NAMI's commitment to deepening relationships within our community to reduce barriers to health. By focusing on social determinants of health in our local area, we can make targeted efforts to address the underlying issues that hinder access to mental health resources. I am passionate about strengthening community partnerships across McHenry County to ensure that individuals have the necessary support and resources to achieve the best possible outcomes."

Thank you for your service, Hillary, and welcome!
