Fear. Frustration. Not knowing what to expect.
These are just some of the feelings women share with me when they finally come in for prolapse care.
Over the years, I’ve noticed three common reasons why women put off seeking help for their prolapse symptoms.

That first moment you notice a bulge or pressure can be frightening. Many women tell me they thought it was something much worse, like a tumor. That fear kept them from getting checked.
The truth is, the sooner you come in the more options we have and the easier it is to restore your quality of life.

Women are so good at caring for everyone else. Spouses, children, aging parents, even their coworkers come before themselves.
But prolapse doesn’t improve on its own. In fact, it tends to get worse over time.
It is better to address it while your tissues are stronger and more resilient rather than waiting until it becomes more severe and harder to fix.

Many women have shared that they waited because they wanted to find the right doctor, someone they could trust. Someone who would listen, understand, and create a treatment plan that is right for them.
That trust is what I strive to build with every woman I see.
