As we wrap up Social Worker month, I would like to highlight the outstanding work of our social worker Susan Salak. Susan began working with us in late 2024 and has been an invaluable addition to our agency. We are fortunate to have her on our team.
Suzanne Salak is a Florida State University alumni, majoring in Social Work and Psychology. She has been in the caring profession for 20 years; working with crisis counseling, children in foster care, people experiencing domestic violence, Veterans, and spent the last 14 years with primarily older adults in their home environments. Suzanne is passionate about hearing the stories of others and providing support and validation. She recently obtained her LMSW and is working towards her LCSW in the next few years. She cares deeply about being a positive impact to the community through her profession and volunteering. Suzanne works with those in times of change or transition, grief, experiencing depression or anxiety, cares about inclusion, and is familiar with State programs to assist in times of need. Outside of work, Suzanne likes to spend her time reading, being with her family, and traveling to gain new experiences and learn about other cultures.
Suzanne wants to improve the lives of others, create connection, and help others meet their goals.
