I distinctly remember sitting in a Bible study reading this verse, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind,. . ." and the accompanying tip for my wellbeing: "Renew Your Mind."
I thought, "well, that sounds great, but how exactly do I do that?" Because, if it meant replacing the negative thoughts with truth, then I'd tried (for years) and failed miserably.

I knew what I was supposed to think about myself, but inevitably, I'd find myself back in the place where it didn't FEEL true. . . And that felt sense would spiral into shame that I couldn't even "Renew my Mind" correctly. Does this cycle sound familiar to anyone else??

Understanding how God has designed your brain and body is transformative, it allows us to lean into how we are created and thrive.

Join us next Thursday at our last Table Talk workshop of 2025. We'll unpack your neurobiology (aka what happens in our brain and body) and how to establish healthy thought patterns. You'll learn practical strategies to help you break unwanted thought patterns and create new ones in alignment with Truth.

I am so incredibly grateful for my precious friends, Kendra and Heather, for so many reasons. It would take hours and days to list all the ways they have poured into my life over the years. . . to know and be known by them is a blessing! Recently, they listened to a call on their hearts, along with their colleague Christie, and have established Flourish: Christian Counselors Community. The first event was Friday, and it was phenomenal to be in community with other Christian counselors worshiping and fellowshiping, AND, the icing on the cake was that they asked to come and share his wisdom 🙌🏼 💓. . . Curt is another person in our field whose impact on my life and work as a trauma therapist has been a gift. So thankful for all these connections that Jesus has assembled 🔥and the blessings they pour out into the world just by being who they are and doing what they do! My cup is full💦!!! Can't wait for the next event, ladies !!!
