Help Find Sandi - Missing Senior Dog in Texas Chihuahua Mix 10 lbs. She went missing on Dec 2, 2015 - in the NW Houston (Champions, 1960/Cutten are Sandi is a very special part of our family.

She has been with us for 13 years and we miss her terribly. She has many medical problems (bad back, cushings disease, tumor in brain, sleeps a lot). On the evening of Dec 2, 2015 she was accidentally locked out of our backyard and she was last seen on our security cameras pacing up and down the driveway for an hour before she disappeared off the camera around 11:30pm. We immediately started looking for her, hung 75+ colorful signs in the area and at major roads, passed 800 flyers door to door, hired a scent dog that lost her scent on the nearby Champions Golf Course, we have posted on all the lost/found Facebook sites, craigslist, nextdoor website. We have also hired a company to call 750 homes in a 1 mile radius, emailed all the local vets and passed out Spanish flyers.

As I try to reflect back on what may have happened to my Sandi. No sightings of her, she was never seen again. She is micro chipped so if someone found her they could locate me.

But my gut tells me she was a victim of the pack of coyotes that has been harassing our neighborhood. I thought this when her trail ended on the golf course but couldn't give up looking for her. As much as I don't want this to be true, I am 99% sure this is what happened to her. Recently a chihuahua has gone missing and another report of a coyote jumping the fence and taking another small dog down the street and killed it (the owners found the coyote with the dog deceased), several neighborhood cats are also missing. As much of an animal lover I am, these coyotes need to go. We used to only get reports of them being spotted at night, now they are brave and coming out from the woods during the day to hunt. We have hired a coyote trapper to take care of the problem and hopefully no more pets will be killed. Justice for Sandi 💛

I can't believe it's been 2 months since I last saw you. I miss you so much, it's your birthday this month and would be turning 14 years old. I wish I had answers about what happened to you. Never in a million years did I think this would happen to you. I've had you since I was 20 and we have been through a lot together, my heart breaks. I hope you are at peace wherever you are. 💛

I went to the last place Sandi's scent was when we hired the scent dog and walked around and looked for any sign of her. I talked to the sweet neighbor they lives by this area. She said she was thinking about us all the time and hasn't seen Sandi. She did report again that there are a lot of coyotes that run up and down behind her house and on the golf course. She has even seen them durning the day. My heart aches knowing Sandi was out here alone at some point.
