A Memorial is put in place to tell ones story. It is meant to share with whoever walks up to it their hobbies, passions and who/what they loved in their lives while here on earth. To me a Memorial is the one thing that we as humans 100 plus years from now can leave, knowing that when our families whom we may never meet are walking around the Cemertery as we all have many times before. As, I say to my kid there’s our Paw Paw’s Memorial right over there and with tears in my eyes and my daughters hand in mine we walked over and sat down right there beside and as she listened anxiously to every word of the stories that I remember so vividly in my head. He was one of the men I wanted to be like when I was just a kid as he still plays a huge roll in my life. So I ask what will the stories be about as they’re shared over your grave? Will they be of a Legendary Man, Father and Friend? as your loved ones come back to reminisce because they care? Will they be able to tell about and understand The Who Is the Name Etched in Stone on That Memorial and how they lived? I sure hope that my Legacy is left for everyone to see on a Granite Memorial made only for me! e Etched in Stone?
