Please join us in celebrating Beth Stites, our Dietary Manager at Socorro Wellness, for being recognized as OPCO’s Dietary Manager of the Month for November!
Beth has been part of the Socorro Wellness family for three years and has served as the Dietary Manager for the past year. Originally from Kansas (and a proud hardcore Chiefs fan! 🏈), Beth is currently working toward becoming a Certified Dietary Manager through the University of Florida.
Beth shares that the best part of her job is the residents and the amazing staff she gets to work with every day. Her dedication, positivity, and passion for providing excellent care truly shine through in all she does.
Outside of work, Beth has been happily married for 20 years and enjoys spending time with her four beautiful grandchildren and her beloved mini doxie.
Thank you, Beth, for your commitment, leadership, and heart for both your team and your residents. We’re so proud to have you as part of the OPCO family! 💚

🧠💜 November is National Alzheimer’s Month! 💜🧠
This month, we unite to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on millions of lives. It’s essential to recognize the warning signs early so that those affected can receive the support they need.

Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s:

1. Memory Loss - Forgetting recently learned information or important dates.

2. Difficulty Planning or Solving Problems - Trouble with familiar tasks or following a recipe.

3. Confusion with Time or Place - Losing track of dates, seasons, or the passage of time.

4. Challenges in Understanding Visual Images - Difficulty reading, judging distance, or determining color.

5. New Problems with Words - Struggling to follow or join a conversation.

6. Misplacing Items - Putting things in unusual places and losing the ability to retrace steps.

7. Withdrawal from Work or Social Activities - Avoiding hobbies and social engagements.

Importance of Early Detection:

Early detection of Alzheimer’s can lead to better management of the disease. It allows individuals and families to:

• Plan for the Future: Make informed decisions about care and finances.

• Access Treatment Options: Early intervention can slow progression and improve quality of life.

• Increase Support: Connect with resources and support networks.
