This is a lifesaver for me as a human and something I introduce to most clients as their therapist. Creating a note to hold the thoughts, triggers, insights, growth noticed to bring up in therapy.

🗒️ It provides what we call containment- giving you some space from what may feel overwhelming. Your brain responds well to knowing “ok, we’re writing this down because it’s important, and will bring it up with my therapist”.

This can prevent emotional overwhelm, build resilience, allow you to be more present in your life and relationships, and allow for strategic reprocessing in therapy session.

🗒️My ADHD brain would have a loop “remember to tell Kay…” before the therapy note.

🗒️ It helps us make the most of our time in therapy if we are not seeing our therapist weekly anymore. I can capture things I’m proud of or think would be good for my EMDR therapy.

Thanks for the inspo! Thanks to my week- my note now says “that a**hole” as the priority topic .

EMDR is incredibly effective at helping treat trauma, anxiety and patterns you feel stuck in. EMDR intensives give you expanded therapy sessions to get to the relief sooner.

EMDR is different than talk therapy and
✅helps you access the root of what’s driving your symptoms
✅ allows you to feel the emotion and body sensation, not just your thoughts
✅ doesn’t rely on you to think your way out of the problem (hello intellectualizers👋)
✅ can help your brain and body feel safe to try new coping strategies
✅ help you rebuild trust with yourself

Happy Thanksgiving! Grateful for you. 🫶🏻

Gratitude is a practice that feels good. It also can increase your sense of happiness, and help build resilience. Part of why your therapist recommends it.

So as you sit around a family table, gathering with friends, or wherever you are today- hope you have a moment to soak in what you are grateful for.

Trauma therapy can help you cope with anxiety or trauma symptoms, understand & heal from past hurts, and build new ways of connecting with others. And it’s not unusual one week to notice wanting to avoid EMDR work.

Talking with an EMDR therapist can help you authentically move forward- honoring what you’ve been through and feeling more trust within yourself to take the next step. I start sessions asking what you noticed and how you felt since our last EMDR session. This can help inform how we work best this session.

🛋️Offering EMDR Therapy Intensives to allow you to build momentum in your therapy journey. Link in bio for free consultation.

Guys- I have to remember to be a normal therapist when I hear these glimmers, when you say the best things because that’s what you experienced since last session.

🙌You just said you’re experiencing what you wanted in your goals that first session!!! Or even more than you hoped for.

🙌Omg! I really like you just said that. You wanna know why?!

🙌 You asked that question last session about your EMDR work— and your brain and body reassured you!

🙌 You are listening to your Wise Mind- the Emotion Mind got to be a part of it!

🙌 How do you think you would have responded when we first started working together if that had happened?

🙌 I am so proud of you. You’re doing such great work taking care of you.

💃🏻I will amplify that progress or growth. All. Day. Long. But I’ll keep off the furniture.

You get things done, take care of people, and probably hold it together better than most.

But then something big happened — a breakup, loss, betrayal, or just that moment when everything you’ve been managing suddenly caught up with you.
And now your body won’t stop buzzing. You can’t sleep. You’re overthinking every interaction. You’re doing “fine,” but you’re also not fine.

That’s when therapy helps.
👉 I help high-functioning overthinkers finally slow down, process the thing that broke their trust, and learn how to feel safe in their own skin again.
👉 We don’t just talk about it — I use EMDR to help your body actually believe you’re safe.

If you’ve been holding it all together for everyone else and it’s time for someone to hold space for you —
💬 Book an intro call today. Let’s get you back to feeling like yourself again.
