We’re beyond grateful to our friends at H-E-B for donating $10,000 in gift cards to support Resource Center’s Food Pantry and Hot Meals programs! 🌟 What started in 1983 from a cardboard box has grown into a lifeline for people living with HIV—providing fresh, healthy meals and dignity every day. This incredible gift helps us nourish bodies and uplift spirits. Thank you, H-E-B, for making a real difference! ❤️

The following is a statement from Resource Center:

The Supreme Court’s rejection of a long-shot challenge to marriage equality from former Kentucky court clerk Kim Davis is welcome news. More than 823,000 couples nationwide have wed in the decade following the Court’s decision granting marriage equality in Obergefell v. Hodges. None of the justices chose to issue statements backing Davis or her challenge.

Refusing to serve members of the public equally has consequences. Davis remains responsible for $360,000 in damages and attorney’s fees to a same-sex couple denied a marriage license. Today’s Supreme Court move effectively ends her route to appeal, but her attorneys have stated they are seeking other cases to challenge marriage equality. As a community, we must remain vigilant towards such efforts and be ready to push back.
