Usually when we feel sad, anxious, down, or depressed it’s a misaligned or unbalanced signal between the heart and brain. (AKA our emotions and our thoughts)
When these important action taking centers are opposing or feeling “against each other” it can get very conflicting physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Here’s how to understand what’s going on behind your distress and how to fix it:
1. Take note of your emotional and physical sensations.
2. Find the information behind them (Why am I feeling this way? What is triggering me? Do I notice any patterns when I feel this way? Whats going on mentally and emotionally?)
3. Reframe or Reconceptualize the internal information in that circuit, put your well-being first and practice what you need in that exact moment.
EXAMPLE:
1. I’m feeling anxious and having constant stomach pains at work.
2. I’m having a very hard time getting along with my coworker, he keeps blaming me for his mistakes, but I really need this job.
3. *Everytime I feel anxious and/or a stomach pain, I am going to do 3 minutes of deep belly breathes and then express my truth in a confident, direct manor.
We need to practice Reframing on a DAILY basis for mental health. Keep detoxing your mind/brain/heart/body and watch magic happen! ✨
