Elf on the Shelf made her first appearance at Mindful Health, and let’s just say - she wasted no time spreading cheer around the Georgetown clinic. 🎄💙

She’ll be popping up in different places and getting into plenty of mischief throughout the month, so stay tuned for updates on her journey!

This week’s intention:
🌱 “I will move at a sustainable pace. December doesn’t have to feel rushed.”
The start of a new month often brings pressure - to speed up, to finish strong, to take on more.

But sustainable pacing isn’t slowing down… it’s choosing presence over overwhelm and intention over urgency. When we allow ourselves to move steadily, we protect our energy, our clarity, and our well-being.

Small, mindful steps still move us forward, and often lead to better outcomes than pushing at full speed.

✨ Weekend Reset: Try Box Breathing ✨

If your mind has felt busy this week, here’s a simple grounding technique you can use anytime - morning, night, or in the middle of a stressful moment.

Box Breathing (4–4–4–4):
🟦 Inhale for 4
🟦 Hold for 4
🟦 Exhale for 4
🟦 Hold for 4

Repeat for 3–5 cycles.
This helps calm the nervous system, reduce tension, and bring your attention back into the present moment.

A gentle reminder: you don’t have to power through everything on your own. Small moments of regulation can make a big difference. 💙
