Unpopular opinion: You do not need to set a goal you are unlikely to stick with simply because you feel pressure to do so.
Hear me out.
Most people set goals like “lose weight.” Yet research consistently shows that the majority regain the weight not because they failed, but because the habits that created the loss were never sustainable.
Instead of setting another outcome-based goal, what if the goal was to maintain and sustain the habits you are already consistent with?
For many people, this is real progress.
Success can look like:
-Hydrating with 80-100 oz daily
-Prioritizing daily movement 10-15k steps
-Strength training regularly 3-4x/week
-Being more present with family and loved ones
-Reading, learning, and staying grounded in routines that support your health
Sustainability beats intensity every time.
Consistency builds confidence. And maintaining healthy habits is not “settling” it is success.
Deal?
