Friday the 13th
For many people, this date has long carried a reputation for bad luck. But historically, Friday the 13th was once connected to something very different.
Friday is traditionally the day of Venus, named after the goddess of love, beauty & creative life force. In older traditions, it was associated with the feminine principle & the rhythms of relationship, fertility & harmony.
The number 13 was also considered sacred in many ancient cultures because of its connection to the lunar cycle. There are roughly 13 moons in a year, and the Moon has always been tied to intuition, emotion & the natural rhythms of the body & the Earth.
Over time, cultural narratives shifted and what was once sacred began to be framed as something to fear.
But our sky today tells a more interesting story.
Venus herself is active today, forming a harmonious connection with Black Moon Lilith - a point in astrology often associated with the untamed, authentic feminine voice that refuses to be silenced or diminished.
There is something about todayβs sky that feels less like misfortune or bad luck and more like reclaiming something ancient & instinctual.
Meanwhile, Mars is aligning with the North Node in Pisces, a transit weβve been discussing this week that can bring moments of ambitious courage that ignites us to move toward the future.
Taken together, today carries a potent message.
Perhaps some of what weβve been taught to fear are actually parts of life that hold deeper, sacred power.
And sometimes the sky reminds us that what appears mysterious, instinctual, or deeply feeling may actually be pointing us back toward something that holds greater meaning.
So perhaps Friday the 13th is not unlucky at all. Perhaps it is simply a day that belongs to Venus and the Moon.
And both of them, after all, have always been a little magical.
