Is it me or have you struggled with headaches, allergy symptoms or nausea when you wake up in the morning? I didn’t know this, but there are so many off gassing chemicals from conventionally made pillows. Ingredient like memory foam is a highly industrialized process combining flammable chemicals to make a foam. Then adding flame retardants (more chemicals) to cocktail of chemicals, we end up inhaling these off gassing chemicals for 7 to 9 hours a night.
This has the potential to overwhelm your liver, and cause you to wake up sluggish and just plain aweful. This is why I started buying non-toxic organic pillows and mattresses for my family. Just like anything in our house, we made it a goal to save up and purchase this for our children. The results, Evalyns allergy symptoms have gotten better and she doesn’t complain of headaches. I am a true believer of minimizing toxins and our bedroom is one of the most important places.

A full 5 Day work week definitely has its toll in our stress levels. As I work with Adult clients who struggle with getting good sleep because of the detrimental effects of physical and emotional stress. One thing is key, stepping away! Even for 5 or 15 minutes.
This video are different meditation practices that you can use and what they do for your body.
Also, I use a PEMF mat to further enhance the relaxation and allow my body to shut off the stress response.

The nutrients that are depleted can be worse based on several factors.

Things like low quality diets or the standard American Diet can increase the chances of depleting your vitamins and minerals due to certain medications.

Also, a lack of detoxification behaviors like being sedentary or not moving enough throughout the day, not sweating, or not eating nutrient dense foods in order to p**p regularly.

On the other hand, nutrient dense food can only do so much, we do need to supplement to get back to baseline quicker.

Eat less meat? Is there anything such as too much meat?

What type of meat should we avoid?

Did you know that the grass that feeds cows is associated with higher omega 3s? However, grains and corn that are often fed to livestock or cows contain high levels of omega 6s?

Omega 6 levels can take months to lower when you stop consuming them. The best way to balance is to increase yourself dose of omega 3s! The ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 should be 1:1 just like our ancestors!

Read below on how to help with stress!

Schedule: from waking up to scheduling your meal times, and going to bed at the same time every day. Your schedule is anchor if you want to be able to sleep every night.

Minimize stressors: physical stressors like environmental toxins, work stress, or going to bed at sporadic times can negatively impact your health.

Seek out Nature: Forest bathing is a great way to reduce stress and anxiety. The simple thought of thinking about a forest bath can help reduce stress.

Take Breaks/Vacations: there is a reason you are given vacation. Your body needs to practice parasympathetic tone. Also known as relaxation, it is easier for you to fall asleep when you practice relaxation.

Move daily: The simple act of walking can help remove toxins and improve blood circulation. Do it!

Gratitude: People that are grateful and people that sleep next to people that they love and respect fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. So, start loving yourself and the people around you.

Are you waking up in the middle of the night? Here are some important things to consider!

🩸Blood Sugar: Unstable blood sugars can cause wake ups from cortisol bursts at night.

🔬Hormones: Estrogen dominance or a decrease in progesterone production can cause wake ups. These can happen in men as well!

☠️Toxin Overload: Exposure from environmental toxins like pesticides in food, unnatural scents, and medication use. Theses cause systemic inflammation from physical stress.

🔥Inflammatory conditions: Any condition that activates the inflammatory system can cause cortisol burst at night. This causes the body to wake up at all hours and also have trouble sleeping!

Proven ways to minimize stress on the body.

Minimize your stress triggers - Things like perfumes, conventional household items, foods and beverages high pesticides, or sugary snacks can cause cortisol release from a stress response.

Turn off the stress response - We spend most of our day stimulated and wired. Make time every 90 minutes to turn off your phone and go for a walk or take a mental break away from screens.

Put your body on a schedule - A body that lacks a schedule is waiting for a disaster. Sunlight exposure, movement, eating, and sleep times should be at the same time every day.

Get moving, preferably outside - A day without sunlight is like a meal with out fat. Sunlight and movement are essential like the fat that makes up our cells. We need it everyday! You get a bonus is you can get them at the same time!
