🔥HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BUILD A NEW HABIT?

So much great learning in his book, Atomic Habits. I’m going to be sharing a lot of his content on my page thus year as I know the power of habits and that it’s less about motivation and more about planned action.

‘You can increase your odds of success by 2-3x just by having a specific plan. Many people think what they lack is motivation but what they really lack is clarity.’ - James Clear

It’s not willpower, it’s better planning. It’s ‘If then’ plans …. Back up plans if something comes up that de-rails your first plan. Know your next move so you’ll never feel defeated.

Week 12 of 12 of the high 🤚🏼 habit takes me back to 1 year ago - 12/30/20, the day I finished my 90 days of going live as a goal my coach & I had set for myself. Looking back it was hard but it certainly helped me get to where I am today by learning new things and setting new habits.

Chapter 15, the last chapter in book I choose to highlight this:

‘You are your own beacon!’ 🌟

‘You were born with your dreams inside you… they are your DNA…they are calling you …you are the light! Nothing external will tee you up for that.’

Even if you’re in an awesome chapter of your life now, if there is ever a time for something new you have the tools to change your life again.

Remember, the position where you are now is teaching you & leading you to where you need to go.

‘Dreams don’t disappear! You were born with them and they’re meant for you. That means you take them with you wherever you go and in whatever version of yourself you create.’

Change isn’t easy but BELIEVE in YOURSELF!

You’ll be ok!

I’m excited for 2022. It’s a Big year as I turn 50 🎂

Stay hungry for growth but remember to take time every day to BE STILL & absorb it all.

And like I tell all my athletes…. YES YOU CAN!
