It’s , and we want to take this moment to thank YOU- the support behind HeartSupport, for making it possible for us to Heal The Scene.ā¤ļø

Without the support of our donors, we couldn’t go to festivals, shows, tour dates, or provide any online support through our Support Calls program. Our donors fully fund all of the support we provide, and we can’t thank you enough for contributing and doing your part to heal your music scene.

2025 was an incredible year of impact, and as we look to 2026 we will be expanding that impact, both by showing up at more shows, fests, and tours, and growing our long-term Support Calls program.

As we expand our efforts to Heal The Scene, we ask that you to make a contribution to HeartSupport this to fund our expanded 2026 outreach efforts. You can donate through the fundraiser in this post, or donate in our biošŸ”— Every $5 donated means one fan receives trained support through the music that heals them.

Thank you so much for your heart to Heal The Scene with us. We are so incredibly grateful for you, and here’s to an amazing 2026!😁

HeartSupport was back at Furnace Fest for 2025, joining bands like Jimmy Eat World, Dropkick Murphys, and Knocked Loose!

Veronica was one of the 23 people who shared their experiences on the Support Wall, inviting other attendees to respond. This music fan has endured a tremendous amount of struggle as someone who has been through physical health challenges (including cancer) that have led to their own mental health struggles.

ā€œI’ve had mental health issues for a long time because I had actual [physical] health issues,ā€ Veronica explained. ā€œSo I wanted to put that out there, and I definitely heard back. It gave me a lot of encouragement… One wrote, ā€˜People will see your strength and find you.’ I think that might be even more of what I needed. I don’t have to look for friends, because I can barely find them on my own. But if they can see me for who I really am, and they see my true authentic self and my heart, where I come from, hopefully that will draw the right people towards me and I don’t have to chase them anymore.ā€

Overall, 117 people wrote supportive replies to their 23 peers who opened up on the Wall. Hundreds more conversations happened organically.

Were you there? We’d love to hear your story! šŸ‘‡

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

As I sit here writing this, I cannot help but think about the friends and fellow travelers I have met along the way who are no longer with us.

If you are reading this and barely holding on, I want to encourage you to call or text someone you love. A parent, a friend, or even someone who once showed you kindness. Your life matters more than you realize.

I am grateful for life today, and my heart is with anyone mourning the loss of a loved one to su***de.

Support Calls and Resources are available at heartsupport.com/support-calls.

You are not alone. Do not give up. We are going to make it out alive.

Memory everlasting.

After 7 years, I am sad to announce that I have resigned from my position at HeartSupport. It has truly been the honor of my lifetime to be a part of this mission to heal the scene and to connect with each and every one of you.Ā

When I walked up to the tent at Warped Tour that fateful day in 2018, I never could have imagined the magical journey I was about to embark on. Starting with being an intern, ending with becoming the Director of Outreach and everything in between. I’ve interviewed my favorite bands, hugged fans at festivals, and found a piece of my purpose.Ā

We created something truly special on YouTube, which many of you know me for, a series called therapist reacts and in doing so we saw 4300 people open up about their mental health, many of whom might never have done so otherwise.Ā

I’m so proud to have been a part of this mission. I’m honored that so many of you trusted me and HeartSupport with your vulnerability. This community inspires me every single day. Working for HeartSupport has taught me some of the most valuable lessons in my life, I’ve grown along side you all, and this last lesson in saying goodbye, although the hardest one yet, is the right one.Ā

I’m so grateful for every moment, and I’ll carry them all with me. I hope you will continue to use all of the community resources to heal the scene, and I hope you will treat your life like the pit, mosh hard and pick each other up when you fall down. I love you.

Our Story

Stories of addiction, depression, self-harm, heartache, war, fear, and hopelessness echoed in his mind. Every night, a fan would share a different story.

Although Jake was the well-recognized frontman of August Burns Red, he was at a loss for how to help. He wasn’t a mental health specialist and he screamed into a mic for a living. Not exactly the picture of expertise his fans needed.

Deep in thought and prayer, all Jake knew was that something had to change.
