📝 Plantar Fascia–Related Pain: Interventional Management in Podiatric Practice

Explore clinical context related to plantar fascia–associated heel pain, a common presentation in podiatric practice often influenced by mechanical load and local tissue stress.

This educational article discusses the role of , a percutaneous modality intended to influence sensory nerve conduction in selected contexts. In the setting of plantar fascia–related pain, discussion centers on neural pathway modulation rather than direct alteration of fascial tissue.

Ultrasound-Guided Cryoanalgesia for Chronic Knee Pain

A 2025 study reinforces the effectiveness of Genicular Nerve Ultrasound-Guided Cryoanalgesia (GNCryo) as a minimally invasive option for patients with chronic knee pain due to osteoarthritis or post-TKA pain.

📊 Key Findings (90 patients, 9-month follow-up):
→ 58% of Patients Achieved ≥50% Pain Reduction
→ WOMAC scores improved from a median of 65.0 to 55.0
→ DN4 scores reduced (from 7 to 5), indicating neuropathic pain relief
→ No major complications or additional surgical intervention

offers a promising alternative for patients seeking sustained relief without causing nerve damage.

A practical introduction to cryoanalgesia in podiatric practice

A 4-part educational series explores how cryoanalgesia is used across common foot and ankle conditions in DPM practice.

Guided by Dr. Brian Allen:
✔️Plantar fascia–related pain
✔️Morton’s neuroma
✔️Foot and ankle bursitis
✔️Verruca-related pain

Each session is delivered weekly, allowing for a structured and progressive review of clinical applications.

A great clinical training session in epidural adhesiolysis in Rome, Italy, on April 1st, at Ospedale San Paolo.

Conducted under the guidance of Dr. Ezio Amorizzo, 4 caudal epidurolysis procedures were performed as part of the training.

These sessions highlighted key procedural aspects:
• controlled epidural access
• catheter navigation within complex anatomy
• targeted delivery at the pathological site

A meaningful step toward integrating the Racz Procedure into clinical practice.

A special thank you to Theras Lifetech for coordinating this training experience.
