Just 4 days to go!

Self-control is one of the most important (and overlooked) early skills.

Three days from now, I’ll show you the first step for turning those “grab and go” moments into “stop and think” moments.

If life with your puppy feels a little too unpredictable right now, this challenge will give you a steadier footing.

New sights and smells can be overwhelming.
Teaching self-control helps your puppy explore safely without constant “no’s.”

When your puppy thinks mealtime means their turn to clean the floor…

Little ones drop food, and puppies see opportunity.
But with a bit of self-control training, your puppy can learn that waiting — not leaping — makes good things happen.

It’s one of the easiest ways to bring calm back to family routines (and keep sticky fingers and furry faces happily separate).

The doorbell rings, and your puppy’s excitement level goes from 0 to zoomies.

The same self-control that keeps your puppy from snatching food also helps when company arrives.

When they learn to take a breath and make a choice, greetings become easier — and everyone keeps their balance.

Small shifts in our schedules — earlier mornings, busier days, new routines — can throw puppies for a loop.

With back-to-school season, your pup may notice more quiet time at home or different walking hours.

Next week, we’ll share easy ways to help them adapt so they stay happy, relaxed, and confident as life changes.

👉 How does your puppy handle changes in your routine?

Why Puppy Challenges?

So many people get a new puppy (or rescue dog) and quickly find themselves in over their heads.

  • Either their puppy is very different from the last puppy they raised and they don’t know where to start with the new puppy.

  • Or they are first-time dog owners and don’t understand how to begin to communicate with their new puppy.

  • Or they have an idea how to get their new puppy started but the puppy just doesn’t seem to be getting it.
