Happy Birthday Mom, Janelle Owens Grogan in Heaven. She would be 100 years old.

God was good to us in that she gave us a firm foundation of Jesus Christ to live by. Because of her we became more loving and compassionate mothers to our own children.

I got my love of traveling from her. She made a California trip to see her sister Doris, my favorite, each and every summer. She also made a trip to see her other sister Louise in North Dakota before she moved from there. Every single Easter we went to our great Uncle Henry's and Aunt Viola's home in San Antonio and went to the Alamo for over 14 years.

She was fearless, except for respectful fear of God and Jesus.

People say I look just like her. I think I look like my Grogan Cherokee grandmother Clara more.

God was good for us all to survive our childhoods.

T u Leae Pullins for sharing this dementia article. Every family is touched by this eventually. This is the hardest disease to see someone vanish before ur very eyes. Tragic.
