Peace isn’t a finish line, and it isn’t a prize for having everything under control.

Peace is a Person. Peace is Jesus—right here with me in the middle of my mess—steady and unshaken by the chaos or the unknown.

So, Lord, teach me to cling to You in this in-between space—in the waiting room, in the “not yet.”

Don’t let my fear of tomorrow pull me away from Your presence today. Let Your peace settle into every corner of my anxious thoughts, just as You promised:

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” — John 14:27

Growth can still happen. Change can still happen.

Even in the hardest places, life finds a way to rise. What looks cracked, broken, or worn down is not beyond God’s power to renew. He works in the hidden places of our hearts, bringing healing, strength, and new life right where we thought nothing good could grow.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:19

A little encouragement for anyone carrying the weight of the recovery journey... "Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible. " -Corrie Ten Boom

When the path feels dark, faith is the light that breaks through. It helps us see beyond what’s in front of us, trust beyond what we understand, and hold onto hope beyond what feels possible.

Even when you can’t see the way, God is already making one.

Recovery doesn’t happen all at once — it happens one step at a time, one day at a time.

Every small victory matters. Every hard day you choose to keep going is worth celebrating. Progress may feel slow, but forward is forward, and each step is proof that change is possible.

If you’re ready to break free from addiction, you don’t have to do it alone. Grace Matters is a spiritually driven community committed to walking alongside you, encouraging you, and pointing you toward lasting hope and healing.

Oh Jesus, thank You that we can always come to You and find true rest.

Thank You for saving us — and for continuing to save, restore, and carry us every single day. Your grace never runs out, and Your mercy meets us right where we are.

Lord, we lift up those who are still searching… still feeling like there has to be more to this life. We pray they find real hope, real healing, and real peace in You.

So many of us know what it feels like to search… to try everything… to fill the emptiness with things that never truly satisfy. And still, the restlessness remains.

St. Augustine said it so simply and so powerfully:
“You have made us for Yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in You.”

That ache in our hearts isn’t random. It’s a reminder that we were created for more — created for God, for purpose, for healing, for wholeness. The peace we’ve been chasing is found in Him.

At Grace Matters, we see lives change when people stop running and finally find their rest in Christ.

There comes a moment when we finally stop running, stop striving, and simply draw near to God… and that’s where everything begins to change.

He meets us in our lowest places — not with shame, but with mercy. Not with rejection, but with redemption. What felt like the end becomes the beginning when His grace steps in.

God doesn’t just lift us out of the pit — He restores, renews, and gives us a future filled with hope.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

“He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.” — Psalm 40:2

No one is too far gone. Redemption is always within reach.

This is why we do what we do. 💙

Jerilyn’s story is a powerful reminder that no one is beyond hope. Through grace, support, and persistence, lives are being transformed—from darkness to joy, from struggle to recovery, from surviving to flourishing.

We are honored to walk alongside individuals like Jerilyn and witness what happens when people are met with love and pointed toward Christ. Grace truly changes everything.

Recovery is about putting off the old self and intentionally putting on the new. And that starts with reflection. It isn’t always comfortable, but it’s one of the most powerful tools for moving forward.

Reflection means being honest about where we’ve been and admitting our need, like the Prodigal Son who turned back home. It’s surrendering our hearts and minds to God, letting Him guide and transform us instead of clinging to old patterns (Romans 12:2). It’s seeking His wisdom in Scripture, learning what freedom looks like (1 Corinthians 6:12). And it’s leaning on community, knowing we were never meant to walk this journey alone (1 Corinthians 12).

Through ongoing prayer, fellowship, and serving others, we embrace the transformation God offers, becoming the “new creation” He calls us to be (2 Corinthians 5:17). Reflection may be hard, but it gives us the clarity and strength to step fully into the new life God is shaping within us.
